Effective Health
How much damage a class can absorb with a loadout and defensive affixes — physical and magical.
What is included
The class base Health and Defence, the Health and Defence of every selected item, the resistance scenario you enter, and the five defensive affixes at the levels you set — all read from the game data and run through the same Source-owned calculator that Build Studio uses.
Stoic applies its resistance below 50% Health. The headline figure weights both states by that threshold, exactly as the published formula does, and adds the level-five restore once. The two states are shown on their own so you can see the fight above the threshold and the fight at or below it separately; both are the resistance only, because the restore needs less Health still and that figure is not published for this build.
Unyielding counts the distinct attackers you enter up to its stack cap. Brotherhood is a party aura: its Defence counts for you while it is held. Blocking, gems, Wine and item affixes are not included here; Build Studio applies them to a whole build.

Mercenary starts from 618 Health and 50 Defence; each selected item adds its own Health and Defence. Affix values are the published per-level figures; the damage reduction follows the game’s defence formula.
Gems, Wine, fixed item affixes and talents are applied in Build Studio, whose Results tab runs this calculator on the complete build.
